News: November 06, 2005 - November 12, 2005

Presentation today

Well, much of last week was spent preparing for my senior seminar presentation today. I had a difficult time deciding on a topic, so I basically got around 6 books and read half of them in the last week to try and get some information and direction. I generally don't like presentations, unless I'm well prepared and know my stuff of course. That takes time though which is a rarity. :-p All in all though, it didn't go too badly I think. I had a lot of solid research thanks to practically non-stop reading the last week. Although, I wish I had planned the presentation a bit better. A solid outline, as well as smooth intro and conclusion would have helped. There is one thing that definitely helped though, including discussion. There were a few awkward pauses between topics where I would try and decide where to go next, and it was nice to be able to break things up with some class participation. It also gave me a chance to get ready for what I wanted to say next. Well, at least it's over now. Now I can relax...oh wait, I still have a ton of papers and such to do ;-p On top of that, I have another concert coming this weekend, performance class on Friday which I'm not quite ready for, a huge percussion ensemble concert in two weeks....ahhhhhhhhhh At least if I can pull all this off and get all my papers for all my classes out of the way, it could prove to be a very relaxing Thanksgiving break. :)
